The results obtained following the calculation of the contamination index indicate Mn contamination at the Lacaroube (Class 3, i.e. risk zone) and Belveder (Class 2, i.e. polluted zone) stations, and Cd contamination at all stations (polluted zone); the other stations are classified as normal zones with regard to Zn, Cu, Cr and Ni concentrations.
