In view of the increased exploitation of natural resources and their consequent reduction, the creation of nature conservation units has been a solution found by the public authorities for the preservation and environmental conservation of areas of great biological importance. The Gr�o Mogol State Park, a Nature Conservation Unit for Integral Protection, has as its basic objectives environmental preservation, scientific research, recreation, and ecological tourism.
