It was observed that mean weight and BMI decreased significantly after one year of surgery. IGF-1 levels were lower in obese patients when compared to eutrophic patients; after 45 days of surgery there was an additional drop of 30.1% and; patients one year post-surgery had a mean similar to non-obese patients (251.50   98.72ng\/mL and 329.09   89.83ng\/mL). The IGF-1 score followed the trends observed previously. Post-operative glycemic values at 45 days (86.18   8.53mg\/dL) and 1 year (82.50   9.19mg\/dL) were lower than pre-operatively (94.54   23.70mg\/dL) and the 1-year and non-obese groups were similar. The mean insulin levels in patients 45 days (9.26   4.86uU\/mL) and one year (6.71   4.41uU\/mL) post-operatively were lower than those found pre-operatively (62.56   47.53uU\/mL) and similar to those in the non-obese group. HOMA-IR decreased in the post-operative groups compared to the pre-operative group.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Atlantic Books","offers":[{"title":"Paperback","offer_id":46378972381335,"sku":"9786208740788","price":3853.0,"currency_code":"INR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0666\/3471\/1191\/files\/9786208740788.webp?v=1768765392","url":"https:\/\/atlanticbooks.com\/products\/biological-markers-of-patients-undergoing-bariatric-surgery-9786208740788","provider":"Atlantic Books","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
