The research focuses on the design and fabrication of casting patterns through additive manufacturing, enabling the creation of complex geometries and lightweight structures. Plaster of Paris is used as the base mould material and is enhanced with magnesium oxide and aluminium oxide to improve mould strength and thermal stability during casting.The experimental work includes mould preparation, furnace setup, and metal pouring under controlled conditions. Important parameters affecting dimensional accuracy, such as pattern shrinkage and processing variables, are examined through dimensional analysis. Measurement of the cast parts is carried out using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and laser scanning techniques to evaluate dimensional deviations.
