In this sense, the present research aimed to investigate experimental practice as a methodological tool in the process of teaching and learning Natural Sciences to 6th grade students in a public school in Macap�-AP. Based on the analyses carried out, it is suggested that practical experimental activities should be considered great allies for learning Natural Sciences. Furthermore, research combined with experimentation in science teaching is essential for the academic and social education of students, enabling the STL of these citizens.
