Most people blame themselves which is just not true. When it comes to men in prison, you may find one in ten thousand that will admit he has been sexual abused.

I think it's safe to say that it's more like one in 50. I had to humble myself in the writing of this book and I'm certain I will take much criticism for it. However, I

truly believe in sharing my freedom and I'm okay with criticism for doing what is needed end what is right.

God is probably the hardest thing to accept when you've been victimized. Most blame God. God can be a mystery until you read His story. As unfortunate as it is, God allows

people to fail because it shows we have a choice.

This book turns into a workbook of sorts. Once you read my story there are some exercises to complete, that includes a 14 day study on forgiveness. All this is what helped me accept that it was not my fault and that God loves me and had always been there for me. I lived to tell my story and I tried to die many times. God's plan was different.

I live in a physical prison for my choice to remain silent about my abuse. Many others live in a mental prison. That is the worst. Many others are doing what I did. Looking for the escape in drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, over-eating, anger, OCD of some sort. But once the buzz goes away, the partner leaves, the movie ends, the food is gone, there's no one there to trip on, and your tired from OCD, the same feeling and thoughts you had boon having are back again. It's vicious circle that never ends until you stop, face what happened, and choice to finally take back control. Then you can invite God in to help you and He will do just that.

One last thing: How many of you reading this go to bed at night and toss and turn thinking about someone that has screwed you over or abused you in some kind of way? Day after day you do this. Countless hours and stress you don't need. Well ask yourself this question; How many nights do you think the one that screwed you over or abused you thinks about you? He/she don't ever think of you most likely. So stop wasting your energy on them and take back control. My prayers are with you and for you.

https://atlanticbooks.com/products/fighting-fire-with-faith-the-true-story-of-a-life-of-abuse-addiction-and-brokenness-to-a-life-of-triumphant-transformation-and-freedom-9781637515761
