Our objective was to review the epidemiological profile of cervical cancer in Senegal, its MRI semiology, the degree of spread according to the FIGO-MRI classification, and to assess surveillance. The results are as follows: Cervical cancers accounted for 36.7% of all pelvic MRIs performed during this period. The average age of the patients was 45.7 years. The MRI was normal in two patients with subclinical cervical tumors classified as FIGO-MRI stage IA. All lesions appeared as T1 hyposignal, with diffusion restriction. Their T2 signal was variable, with contrast enhancement in 96% of cases. Stage IIB was the most common (56%), followed by stage IVA (28%). One in three patients referred for post-surgical follow-up had local recurrence. Cervical cancer is a real public health problem; MRI is an essential tool in the management of this disease.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Our Knowledge Publishing","offers":[{"title":"Paperback","offer_id":47594079420567,"sku":"9786209556999","price":4232.0,"currency_code":"INR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0666\/3471\/1191\/files\/9786209556999.webp?v=1774984617","url":"https:\/\/atlanticbooks.com\/products\/mri-in-the-management-of-cervical-cancer-9786209556999","provider":"Atlantic Books","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
