The theoretical referential framework of the work was based on a wide bibliographic review where the theoretical methods of analysis and synthesis, historical-logical and induction-deduction were used. The diagnosis of the characteristics of the practice of chess in the female sex was carried out through the application of empirical methods such as observation, interview and survey.
