Delass Johnson, a Baltimore Maryland native who has a genuine love for writing; that she shares via her poetry and spoken word performances. Delass illustrates what she calls her metaphoric altercation with what she shares through her poetry. Delass has launched the movement "Retrospective Growth" having birthed during a time of personal trial, she used her challenges to advance into a position of reward. Through spoken word, public speaking and workshops Delass helps others to overcome some of life's most troubling issues. She used writing to depict her emotions as an outlet of personal expression via graphical images of ink upon paper to transform what Delass believes to be inspirational. She referenced poetry to be more than personal, as her words reflect universal issues. Her mission is to spread the belief that no matter your issue, the fight in you is greater; never doubt the possibilities of overcoming your challenges and most importantly, to withstand against it once you've defeated it. This powerhouse of a poet is sure to share a poem that is relatable on some level; whether it presents a smile, or just encourages.
