Following our study conducted in the neurology department of the Hubert K. Maga in Cotonou on the medium- and long-term morbidity and mortality of strokes, we can conclude, in light of the results obtained, that: mortality from stroke remains high in the medium and long term, with several associated factors, the most predictive of which are age, marital status and the presence of aphasia. Disability and dependency remain significant after a stroke.
