Different social actors work together through dialogue to develop a joint solution to a societal problem. As part of the National Research Programme NRP 61 'Sustainable Water Use', the University of Bern carried out the 'MontanAqua' project in the Crans-Montana-Sierre area (VS, Switzerland). A platform comprising various regional stakeholders served as the link between the research priorities of water supply, water consumption and water management. Together, they designed four possible socio-economic development scenarios for the region through a social learning process. This study evaluates this process from the perspective of stakeholders who were previously involved.
