It is a stark reminder of the potential of cruelty in humanity. Refugees are the most vulnerable people on the planet. They face murder, rape, torture, humiliation, and degradation on a daily basis. Their lives are under constant threat because of the filth of corrupt politicians and faulty policies. I am a Bosnian Genocide survivor and I have experienced the dangerous uncertainty of war. My mother\"s friends were raped and my father was shot in his ankle by a Serbian Chetnik sniper. Over 100,000 Bosnians were killed. 50,000 Bosniak women were raped. The horror of the war in Ukraine is a tragedy. Humanity keeps allowing war and genocide to occur. Ignorance breeds evil and arrogance because it doesn't allow space for critical thinking. Nationalism, sexism, racism, nativism, and any other -ism of society needs to be dealt with swiftly in its infancy so that it does not develop into a catastrophe.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Independently Published","offers":[{"title":"Paperback","offer_id":45497644122263,"sku":"9798366915250","price":1736.0,"currency_code":"INR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0666\/3471\/1191\/files\/9798366915250.webp?v=1767921920","url":"https:\/\/atlanticbooks.com\/products\/the-life-of-a-refugee-9798366915250","provider":"Atlantic Books","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
