History demonstrates that wherever the testimony of Jesus has been faithfully proclaimed and received, societies have been transformed. The abolition of slavery, the establishment of universal education, the founding of hospitals, the development of constitutional democracy, the codification of human rights, and the creation of charitable institutions all trace their origins to the influence of the Christian gospel upon the conscience of nations.
