It featured reflections on the heritage and history of Port Alberni. It was always his dream to publish a book. Unfortunately he passed away in May 2011 and was unable to fulfill his dream. I edited and reworked a selection of his columns and then published them into a book format. I launched the first volume in August 2012. It was so popular it lead to a second volume which was launched in May 2013. These columns became a community record which helped preserve our heritage and presents it in a way which makes it accessible to the general public. This second volume represents the demands of the public for more info. This volume is about 50% bigger and has more local historic photos from places like Angel Rock and many local businesses including Woodwards.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Kris Patterson","offers":[{"title":"Paperback","offer_id":45504060784791,"sku":"9780988120426","price":2036.0,"currency_code":"INR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0666\/3471\/1191\/files\/9780988120426.webp?v=1767163167","url":"https:\/\/atlanticbooks.com\/products\/this-was-then-with-old-ike-volume-2-9780988120426","provider":"Atlantic Books","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
