A History of Political Thought (Hardbound - 1997)

The study provides different phases of the history of Political Thought. In this work, the views of various political thinkers have been given in a beautiful manner. The study also provides in bother and fitter place for their life and achievements from Thomas Hobbes to H.J. Laski. In the first chapter importance is given to the views of Thomas Hobbes on state of nature and social contracts. In the intervening chapter a graphic picture of Karl Marx is given in a different way so as to fulfil the requirements of the students and the general nonbody. The role of Western political thinkers in this field is described very beautifully in this work. The author has well elaborated all the views and ideas of all the thinkers on this book.

Professor N. Jayapalan of Government Arts College, Karur (Tamil Nadu) did his post-graduation in History in Pachaiyappa's College, Madras, C. Madras University. Later, he did his post-graduation in Political Science from the same University. Then he did his M.Phil from the Bharathidasan University, Trichy.

He has participated in many seminars connected with Indian History. He has written more than hundred books both on History and Politics. He is a very popular author in Tamil Nadu.
