Commerce for UGC-NET/SLET (For Lectureship and JRF) and Other Competitive Examinations (Hardbound - 2014)

Even candidates with higher scores in the university examinations and good academic talents find it difficult to qualify UGC-NET for Lectureship and JRF. It is mainly due to the lack of deeper insights and meaningful understanding of the subject matter. This book contains a large number of objective-type questions with answers on the subject of Commerce and thus acquaints the readers with its various aspects. It covers the entire syllabus given by UGC for NET for Lectureship and JRF in the subject.

The book has been organized in 12 units. Each unit has been prepared in such a way that it facilitates independent and authentic learning. Brief and meaningful description of basic concepts and comprehensive glossary of related terms has been provided. Each unit contains a good number of multiple choice questions with answer keys. Previous years’ question papers of UGC-NET have been given with answers and explanations.

Dr. Santhosh Areekkuzhiyil, holds M.Com with high rank from the University of Calicut. He received M.Ed with first rank from the same university. He also holds MBA, M.Sc (Psychology), M.A. (Philosophy), M.A. (Sociology) and M.A. (Economics) degrees. He did his PGDCP with first rank from the Kannur University. He completed his M.Phil and Ph.D. with fellowship from UGC. He qualified NET in Commerce, Management, Psychology, Education and Sociology. He has worked in the Alagappa University (Tamil Nadu) and Kannur University (Kerala). He has presented a number of papers in national and international seminars and conferences and has published articles in various journals. He has authored many books on Commerce, Management, Psychology and Education. Presently he is working as Asst. Professor at the Govt. Brennen College of Teacher Education, Thalassery (Research Centre, Kannur University), Kannur district, Kerala.

Prajisha K. is a young researcher in Commerce and Management. She did her M.Com from the University of Calicut with distinction and M.Phil from the Pondicherry Central University with first rank and gold medal. She has qualified UGC-NET in Commerce. She has presented a number of papers in national and international conferences and seminars and has published a number of articles in various journals. She has worked at Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Presently she is a research fellow in the Department of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Calicut, Kerala.
