Reflections on Police, Society and Allied Subjects is a bunch of short essays on the Police, Society and diverse other subjects such as Futurology, Religion, Social Awareness and so on. These were written by the author from time to time during his active service of nearly 35 years. Apart from his reflections on Police, which was his profession, the essays contain his observations on varied topics culled not only from varied and diversified reading, but from actual experience involving interaction with criminals and people from diverse walks of life and true to life events such as combating infiltrators into the Kashmir Valley in which the author participated.

D.N. Kaul is a retired I.P.S Officer who served in the J&K state and for some years in a Central Government Police Force. During his police career Mr. Kaul was awarded the Indian Police Medal and the Presi¬dents’ Police Medal for outstanding and distinguished service. Mr. Kaul has been a regular broadcaster apart from his being a copius writer with contributions to leading journals and national dailies, both in English as well as in Urdu.
