About the AuthorDr. Bijay Kumar Das, Ph.D., D.Litt., is a contributor to The Encyclopaedia of World Literature in the 20th Century (New York). He has published a number of books and Research papers on British Literature, Postcolonial Literature, Literary Criticism, Translation Studies and Comparative Literature. His important books include The Poetry of Jayanta Mahapatra (2001), Critical Essays on Postcolonial Literature (1999), Twentieth Century Literary Criticism (1995, 1996, 1998), The Horizon of Translation Studies (1998), Aspects of Commonwealth Literature (1995), The Horizon of Nissim Ezekiel’s Poetry (1995), Critical Essays on Poetry (1993), Perspectives on Indian English Poetry Criticism (1993), A Reader’s Guide to Ten Twentieth Century Indian Poets (1993, 1997, 1999), Modern Indian English Poetry (1992), Critical Perspectives on ‘Relationship’ and Latter-Day Psalms (1986), Modern Indo-English Poetry (1982) and A Study of Sarojini Naidu’s Poetry (1977).
