About the AuthorDr Pulakesh Ghosh, an Assistant Professor under West Bengal Education Service, is serving as an Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of English at APCR Government College, affiliated to North Bengal University. He is an M.Phil and Ph.D., both in English. He has published a number of papers and articles in scholarly journals of international standard having global circulation. He has presented research papers in many seminars and international conferences, and chaired a few. In addition to Austen, his areas of interest are Indian Writings in English, Ibsen, Dickens, Tagore, Feminism, and Translation Theory. He is the author of the book, Feminism in R.K. Narayan’s Novels. His other book, Critical Study of Dickens’ Hard Times, is in press.
