Walk the Talk: Women, Work, Equity, Effectiveness (Paperback-2024)

We recognize that efficient utilization of human resources is essential for global economic growth, yet we see scarce representation of women in leadership roles. We acknowledge that women are different, but fail to realize their potential as equals. We accept that women need to be empowered, yet debate who should take the lead and who the stakeholders are. This book has ideas and agenda for action to break stereotypes, shed invisible barriers, and create an ecosystem of empowerment. This can only be done when all stakeholders—employers, governments, NGOs, men, and women themselves— walk the talk in ensuring equity with effectiveness for women at the workplace.

Anjali Hazarika is the author of the award-winning book Daring to Dream: Cultivating Corporate Creativity Through Dreamwork. She served as a Founding Director of an Intercorporate Learning Network of 12 oil and gas companies in India. Earlier with OIL India Limited, she edited six monographs on burning themes related to petroleum industry, all published by TATA McGraw Hill. She has been actively involved with research-based advocacy on women’s leadership issues at workplaces and co-founded the Forum for Women in Public Sector under the aegis of the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises, New Delhi and has been its President. An Executive Coach in private practice, she is also an Associate Coach with the Centre for Creative Leadership (APAC) and has been invited to be an independent expert to the Advisory Council of the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems, set up by the Government of India.
