The Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to various civil services including IAS, IRS, IFS, and IPS, among others. The CSAT is comprised of two compulsory papers of 200 marks and of two hours duration each. The questions will be of multiple choices, objective type. The CSAT Paper-I covers current events of national and international importance. The book Civil Service Aptitude Test is in two volumes. Indian polity, judiciary, and governance are also included. The second volume contains general science, science & technology, medicine, discovery, and exploration. Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices. There is a chapter on energy and power, environment and climate change. The book has been designed for students preparing for Civil Service Examination. The approach is comprehensive and covers almost every prescribed subject, incorporating the fundamental principles and facts as well as the finer details not easily available elsewhere in a single source. It has been compiled after consulting various reliable sources like reference manuals, standard textbooks, dictionaries, newspapers, and magazines.
