English on the Go (Paperback - 2013)

The book is intended for learners at the Intermediate level where they are expected to have basic communication skills needed to express themselves on the topics that form part of daily life and be equipped with the proper use of different parts of speech, viz. nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc.

The content has been organized around themes and functions with the objective of arming learners with the skills of speaking, reading and writing. The choice of themes is based on the need to expose users to everyday events and the present business environment. The book fully equips the learners with skills and knowledge needed to take on the challenges of Advanced level English. It is intended for adults and professionals who are speakers of other languages and who wish to read, write and speak English. Correct grammatical usage is strongly advised and is therefore included to support the learners in the process. In addition, emphasis is placed on developing oral communication skills.

The book will clear many of the problem areas that are associated with use of English by non-native speakers.

Yasmin Esack is from the West Indies. She is the Director of Northern Technology School of Languages, which caters to the needs of non-native English speakers who wish to learn English. The institution has successfully taught and certified a wide range of students and professionals and provides registered certified courses on English learning from Basic to Advanced levels. She also worked as Commentator in CHOGM Commonwealth People’s Forum and as a teacher at Barataria Secondary Comprehensive.
