enduring experiences he had, especially in shaping his ideals in the form of educational institutions which are ever growing and full of vitality even approx. sixty years after his death. The aim of the present book is, therefore, to focus on Malaviya’s achievements and to judge how far his educational thoughts and ideas have filtered invisibly into our present-day educational system and are the part of it. By critical comparative analysis, the author tried to focus on the key thoughts of the contemporary visionaries of higher education such as Tagore, Gandhi, Malaviya, and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan who were the product of the same Indian culture and tradition but have divergent views on the same problems of the country. Author has tried to explore the similarities and difference in these visionaries which might be because of their different upbringing, home environment, and working in different conditions. By critical analysis, she has tried to compare these philosophers with several aspects, namely originality, principles, aims, medium of learning, way of distribution of knowledge, and harmonization of national views.
