About The Author

Rajeev Bhargava is a renowned political theorist. He graduated from the University of Delhi with a Degree in Economics and then got his MPhil and PhD from Oxford University. Bhargava began teaching at St Stephen’s College in 1979, before beginning to teach at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is now Senior Fellow and Director at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies. Some of his other works are Multiculturalism, Liberalism And Democracy, Politics And Ethics Of The Indian Constitution, What Is Political Theory And Why Do We Need It?, The Promise Of India’s Secular Democracy and Secular States And Religious Diversity.
