About The Book

The book Corporate Accounting studies in detail the Financial Accounting and appraisal that caters to the needs of students, research scholars and university and college teachers. It is written in simple language and lucid style, capable of being understood by the beginners. The book illustrates the developments in the fields of accounting in a very simple style and presents the subject matter briefly and concisely. It covers the syllabus of B.Com., B.B.A., M.B.A., M.Com., and various professional examinations. It provides objective type, theoretical and practical questions to meet the needs of the students of various universities and institutes. It gives equal importance to both theory and practice. Volumes 1 and 2 of the book comprise 7 and 11 chapters respectively, containing illustrations, objective type questions, simple problems, advanced problems with answers and proper hints. The book provides exhaustive explanations, suitable examples and various graded illustrations along with working notes. Short questions, simple problems and practical exercises have been given as per the new question paper pattern, at the end of each chapter, for the benefit of the students. It is best suited for the students of B.Com., B.B.A., M.BA., M.Com., C.A., I.C.W.A., I.C.S.I., C.A.I.I.B. and other equivalent courses. It will also prove useful for the executives in accounts and finance department of all commercial organisations.

About The Author

Balavant M.P. has two post-graduate degrees to his credit, M.Com., Cost Accounting and M.Com., Banking. He did his Ph.D. from Karnatak University on the topic ‘An Appraisal of Man-power Planning and Development Policies and Practices in Central Co-operative Banks’ with special reference to B.D.C.C. Bank, Bijapur. He has been serving as Senior Lecturer in Commerce at the MGVC Arts, Commerce and Science College, Muddebihal. Formerly, he had also served for more than four years at Nehru Arts, Commerce and Science College, Hubli, and Shri Siddeshwar Govt. First Grade College, Nargund, thereby gaining a vast experience in teaching. He is a former member of Pre-university Textbook Committee (PTC). He has written Vyavahara Adhyana, Lekkashastra and Accounting both in Kannada and English, for the benefit of Pre-university students in addition to Financial Accounting Vol. I and II and Lekka Parishodhaneya Mula Talwagalu Hagu Acharane for the degree students. His books are easy, lucid and have been recommended by the Pre-university Board and many universities. Many of his articles have been published in the newspapers and journals of repute.
