Este breve libro FRONTERAS EN EL ARTE. ARTE DESDE LAS FRONTERAS. PENSAMIENTO DECOLONIAL DE LA EXTERIORIDAD. DESCOLONIZAR EL PENSAMIENTO EN/DESDE LA FRONTERA Y EL ARTE. pretende demostrar, desde una forma descolonizada de pensar el arte, la cultura y la producci�n de conocimiento -que he denominado pr�ctica fronteriza biogeogr�fica cr�tico-epist�mica-, que para pensar, producir y ense�ar arte desde un punto de vista descolonial, existen dos formas b�sicas de entender las fronteras. Aunque las dos formas b�sicas no son restrictivas, un punto crucial para la propuesta es darse cuenta de que la frontera hoy est� lejos de ser exclusivamente geogr�fica. La primera es la frontera como espacio geogr�fico, por tanto, en el que se han situado todas las producciones no europeas/estadounidenses de arte, cultura y conocimiento, excluy�ndolas de estos proyectos globales desde el proceso de colonizaci�n. En el segundo sentido, la frontera consiste en comprender que es precisamente el lugar fronterizo (biogeogr�fico), incluso con todas sus complejidades de colonialidades contempor�neas, el que da lugar a otra forma de pensar las pr�cticas culturales como la producci�n de arte, cultura y conocimiento ajena a (desvinculada de) las l�gicas europeas y estadounidenses como proyectos universales. Ambas comprensiones de la frontera pueden y deben a�n pluralizarse en sus diversos adjetivos posibles seg�n la situaci�n y condici�n de estas culturas. Inmediatamente, entendiendo estos argumentos, quedar� claro que tambi�n hablo biogeogr�ficamente (desde la frontera) de las artes con el cuerpo, la pol�tica, la filosof�a, la pedagog�a, la econom�a, la pr�ctica cultural, la subjetividad, entre otras cosas, situAdas en la frontera epist�mica como cultura de producci�n de conocimiento.
