In this third and final volume of the Mindful Art series, Hiroshi Shimazaki explores what has always been at the heart of his sketching/painting activities, whether for academic research or for pure pleasure. Here he reminisces about times on site and relishes the memories the sketches evoke. As always, he invites readers to enter the world of travel sketching with mindfulness, curiosity, and wonder-as well as, on occasion, a sense of humour.

Mindful Travel Sketching: A Memoir of Journeys Inner and Outer contains over three hundred of Shimazaki's travel sketches from all over the globe, and will appeal to artists, would-be artists, travellers, would-be travellers, and admirers of the artist's work. Other books in the series are Mindful Landscape Sketching and Mindful Landscape Painting: My Watercolour Journeys.
