Ohno Bakufu (1888 -1976) was a Japanese print-maker born in Tokyo and reputation as a painter and produced landscape and kachō-ga - birds and flowers designs but mainly with fish that reflect his training as a painter.

Among collectors of Japanese woodblock art, he is especially known for thee fish prints, produced in collaboration with specialized carvers and printers and published by Kyoto Hanga-in.

These prints are based on Bakufu's original paintings that were adapted into woodblock prints by experienced artisans. The adaptations follow his paintings closely. He is assumed to have provided only limited input during production. This is the same way the old masters Hokusai and Hiroshige worked.

Ohno Bakufu worked mainly in the shin hanga style. Shin hanga ("new prints") is a Japanese art movement from the early 20th century (approx. 1910s-1960s) that revitalized traditional Edo-period ukiyo-e woodblock printing.
