The Doom of King Acrisius is a novel written by William Morris. The novel follows the life of Perseus, who grows up to become a great warrior and sets out on a quest to slay the Gorgon Medusa, a creature with snakes for hair whose gaze turns people to stone. Along the way, Perseus meets various characters, including the sea god Poseidon and the goddess Athena, who help him on his journey. The Doom of King Acrisius is a classic retelling of the Greek myth of Perseus and Medusa, with Morris's unique style and language.
