Amar Nath Prasad teaches English at Jagdam College (J.P. University), Chapra (Bihar). He is a goldmedalist in English. He also served in Indian Army for a very short period of time. He has to his credit a commendation certificate conferred by late Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, the Honourable President of India. He has attended a number of seminars and conferences. Most of his scholarly papers have been published in different books and journals, magazines and newspapers. His area of interest is Women Novelists in Indo-Anglian Fictions. He has edited three books : (1) Indian Women Novelists in English; (2) Indian Novelists in English : Critical Perspectives and (3) Studies in Indian English Fiction.
