The book is a comprehensive account of Swami Vivekananda’s Nationalism that went a long way in proliferating national energy against the British Imperialism in India in particular and the Western Imperialism in other parts of the Globe in general. P.R. Bhuyan (b. 1954) holds Ph.D. in Political Science. He graduated in English Honours from E.M. College, Balasore in 1974 and joined as a teacher in a High School. To quench his thirst for higher studies he did his M.A. in Political Science and LL.B. from the Utkal University, Orissa in 1980. He joined thereafter District Bar but due to lack of job satisfaction he left his legal profession for Lecturership at Chitrada College, Chitrada, Mayurbhanj, Orissa in 1983. He did his M.A. in History in 1985. Dr. Bhuyan is a versatile genius, who delivers talks on various subjects from the A.I.R. Cuttack, A.I.R. Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Orissa. He is a writer and a poet, who writes both in Oriya and English. Besides he is also a good translator. Among his various translations his English rendering of the Oriya epic — Tapaswini, by Gangadhar Meher, a veteran Oriya poet, is most outstanding.
