This book, and the volumes that will follow, is a personal interpretation of the author's studying of the King James version of the Holy Bible. I decided to share my thoughts with the belief that others may gain even more clarity as they compare and contrast the contents of my books. The Bible admonishes Christians and believers to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15), this time through...I am focusing more on "study." I believe there is a blessing in doing so and with knowledge has to come understanding. Because God has chosen me to carry and share His word, I must have a deep understanding of what I am sharing. It is my belief that in writing this book (in volumes), I may share with others a deeper understanding of the Word, as well. If nothing more, it can serve as a supplementary guidebook to building wisdom and knowledge to those who will read. I am choosing to do this writing in volumes. This is Volume 1 on the Pentateuch.

Dr. Delores Smiley is retired from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) where she served for more than 20 years in several leadership positions, adjunct professor of organizational leadership and higher education, and as dissertation advisor. She also served as Director of Student Support Services and assistant professor at Siena Heights University for five years. Prior to working in postsecondary education, she taught high school English and Social Studies and Adult Education courses in Albion, Michigan. Dr. Smiley's most recent position was Executive Director, Diversity and Cultural Affairs at Nova Southeastern University's Fischler School of Education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Art degree from Western Michigan University and her Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University. Her outstanding work in the field of education has resulted in numerous awards and recognitions. Dr. Smiley is most proud of the accomplishment of writing an approved master's degree program in Instructional Design and Diversity Affairs, the development of an approved Diversity Plan for NSU's School of Education and leading many initiatives in diversity and inclusion at NSU. In addition, she is leader and teacher of Smiley Family Ministries in Plantation, Florida. She is the author of her memoirs The Harvest: Keeping it Real, and her published dissertation.
