A Colonial Reformer is a novel written by Rolf Boldrewood, an Australian author, and published in 1890. He also becomes friends with a group of intellectuals and activists, including the journalist and politician, Henry O'Farrell.As Mahony becomes more involved in these causes, he also becomes more estranged from his wife, who is content to live a more traditional life. The novel explores the tensions between Mahony's desire to make a difference in the world and his personal relationships.A Colonial Reformer is a richly detailed historical novel that provides a vivid portrait of colonial life in Australia during the mid-19th century.
