Eletto Mister Gay negli anni Novanta, Luca incomincia a scalare le vette del successo di un certo mondo omosessuale. Giovane, bello, richiesto a eventi mondani, feste e spettacoli, in breve vive ogni esperienza di trasgressione che in quel mondo si possa incontrare, tra sesso, lussuria, potere e gironi infernali. Dietro l'angolo, però, sta in agguato un nemico letale: l'aids, che senza pietà lo priva nel giro di pochi anni dei migliori amici. Finché arriva la sentenza fatale e tanto temuta: anche Luca ha contratto l'Hiv. A quel punto qualcosa si rompe nell'equilibrio artificiosamente costruito in tutti quegli anni, e Luca rientra in se stesso. Intraprende così un percorso di conversione, su base psicologica e religiosa, che lo aiuta a scoprire e a sanare le ferite di tanti anni prima, fino a riappropriarsi della sua identità sessuale. Un cammino faticoso, fatto di tanti dubbi e cadute, che lo porta fino a Medjugorje: l'incontro con la Madonna lo spinge decisamente sulla strada della conversione, favorendone una completa rinascita interiore. Ritrovato se stesso, Luca incontra anche l'amore a lungo cercato e con Terry inizia una nuova vita si sposa nel 2008 e nel 2014 diventa padre, pervaso da una gioia e una pace mai sperimentate prima. Un'autobiografia controcorrente, ma non polemica, dettata dal desiderio di testimoniare la propria rinascita trovando tolleranza e rispetto per la propria scelta di vita.
