As memoirs go, Stacie Ann Leininger doesn't pull any punches. She comes out of a broken justice system, that most people are becoming all-too familiar with, and exposes thirty years of hell she's had to endure.

There are no roses within. What you will find is a book of sexual, and physical abuse that went unchecked throughout the systems: the Schenectady Police Department, Catholic Church, and school officials ignored. That eventually ended in the murder of Leininger's boyfriend when they were both 15 years of age. Coverups followed and death threats toward the author became a regular occurrence.

"I Am the Nothing They Failed to Contain" is an amazing chronicle on how corruption can take hold.

They nearly broke her, but she's tough and bounced back and this "still continuing" to fight for justice. Don't expect to find lilacs in bloom when reading this powerful and necessary book, but what you'll find is the truth.
