About The Author

Hawke, Kyle: - Kyle Hawke has worked with words as a writer, editor, copywriter, and ghostwriter for newspapers, magazines, books, radio, and the performance stage. He founded the interdisciplinary reading series Voice on Canvas and Bohemian Caress, as well as working with various literary nonprofit groups and libraries in the Vancouver area and beyond. Kyle's poetry is juxtaposed with the art of Wade Edwards in their book, whispers of humanity.

Nealy, Phil: - Phil Nealy has a long history of working with students to help them find new directions, most recently as the Senior Admissions Advisor for the Victoria campus of Sprott Shaw College. Building on his history of advocacy and personal development, he has now embarkedon a new career as a public speaker. Following a diving accident, Nealy was diagnosed as a quadriplegic who would need a lifetime of constant care. Refusing predictions of his limitations from doctors, he strove to regain movement. He lives independently, spending his leisure time exploring nature across Vancouver Island, swimming and snorkelling in the Caribbean. He lives in Victoria, BC.
