Terry Moogan was one of the most notorious criminals in Liverpool, England and beyond. He honed his skills with several escapades and baffled police for decades while on the run.
Born into poverty, an urchin child, he began stealing at the age of 7 and formed a gang: the Daredevil Kids. He was sentenced to 18 years in Britain's most brutal lock-up system for children called Borstals.
Among his walkover wins was a plan to steal Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee diamonds while he was serving as a butler on the QE2. Some of those jewels dated back to 1907.
Fate took a hand in this robbery, his most outrageous theft, when a hurricane hit the luxury liner in the middle of the night in the Atlantic Ocean causing damage near the ship's jewelry display window.
Eventually, Moogan transformed himself into a British Hollywood butler to the stars in Beverly Hills. He was hired by none other than Clint Eastwood's wife, Margie, by Marlon Brando, and several other A-listers. He became a chauffeur for their Rolls Royce cars, and a chef along with his wife, Annette.
Terry Moogan lives in southern California and frequently helps the impoverished. He also teaches public speaking.
