(Như-Nguy�̣n) Duong for April 30, 2025, the 50th anniversary of the fall of South Vietnam. In nine poems and accompanying artworks, this Special Edition captures the author's memory of her life during and after the Vietnam War, as well as her reflection on the key moments in the modern history of Vietnam. The Series revisits Vietnamese American history: The end of the Vietnam War was also the beginning of the Vietnamese diaspora, as Vietnamese refugees fled their homeland in search of freedom in 1975 and during the subsequent decades. The author was one of those refugees. The Series, combining the author's poetry and her visual art, consists of five separate volumes (three Books, one Special Edition, and one Whole Series' Abridged Edition): ■ Special Edition: Memoir in Nine, From Paris to Quảng Tri (2025) After 2025: ■ Book One: Verses in Exile ■ Book Two: Living in the Gulf Between Cultures ■ Book Three: The Quest for Love: You, My Liberty ■ Whole Series' Abridged Edition (consisting of selected poems from the other volumes): Voices Forgotten - Journey of the 50 Dragon-Birds The author has requested that this Special Edition be published in manuscript form to reflect her personal approach to poetry and visual art, the result of her 50 years in America (1975-2025). Memoir in Nine, From Paris to Quảng Tri is also availabe as an English-only version. This bilingual Special Edition, as well as the English-only version of this Special Edition, is available as e-book and in printed form (hardback and softback).
