Dieser Zusammenschluss besteht aus einem Mutterunternehmen, das Anteile eines anderen Unternehmens teilweise oder vollständig erwirbt. Nach diesem Kriterium unterscheidet man die Rechnungslegungspflicht eines Konzerns. Der Verkauf oder Zukauf von Anteilen kann dazu führen, dass die bisherige Konsolidierungsmethode nicht mehr den Voraussetzungen entspricht. Im Falle eines nicht vollständigen Verkaufs von Anteilen, kommt es unter Umständen zu einem Abwärtswechsel bzw. einen Übergang auf eine andere Konsolidierungsmethode. Die Übergangskonsolidierung unterliegt keinerlei Gesetze, allerdings leiten sich die Regelungen aus Gesetzeslücken ab. Gegenstand dieser Arbeit soll der Abwärtswechsel eines vollkonsolidierten Tochterunternehmens zur Equity-Bilanzierung sein. Es soll zudem verdeutlicht werden, welche Voraussetzungen gegeben sein müssen und wie das Vorgehen in einzelnen Schritten aussieht. In diesem Zusammenhang wird insbesondere untersucht, wie der Wechsel in der Praxis aussieht. Andere Arten der Konsolidierung werden in dieser Ausarbeitung nicht von Bedeutung sein.
