Scott, Stanley: - About the AuthorI, Stanley Scott Jr. am a Local 10 Longshore mechanic at the Port of Oakland, a student at San Francisco State University, and a Sunday school teacher at Bell Chapel CME Church in Bayview-Hunters Point, San Francisco. I hold certifications as a CATC-I/LAP-C addiction treatment counselor and labor assistance professional.With multiple years of recovery, I've served in the Ministry to Men's auxiliary at Bell Chapel. My creative work spans over 143 published books and more than 900 music tracks, produced through my platform Bysscott.org.My current project, PORT SCHOLAR CHRONICLES-The Longshoreman Student Experience, documents my daily journey crossing the Bay Bridge between Oakland port work and San Francisco State evening classes.I live by the grace of God.I have spent this time of my life working as a longshoreman. It has been a challenging but rewarding career. I have seen the industry change dramatically over the years, but one thing that has remained constant is the importance of longshoremen to the global economy.
