About The Book

De Vortex Indicator (VI) werd voor het eerst gepubliceerd in de januari 2010-editie van Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities en werd uitgevonden door de in Zwitserland geboren Etienne Botes en Douglas Siepman. De twee lieten zich inspireren door het werk van Alexander Elder, een van de bekendste auteurs in Forex. Sindsdien is deze indicator enorm populair geworden in de Forex-groep, maar detailhandelaren zijn een beetje laat op de show.

De Vortex Indicator (VI) is gebaseerd op twee trendlijnen, VI+ en VI-, die respectievelijk opwaartse en neerwaartse trend binnen de huidige markt betekenen. De Vortex Indicator is een van de unieke richtingaanwijzers. Deze indicator kan helpen bij het bepalen van trendomkeringen en het bevestigen van huidige trends en richting, gemarkeerd in de positie van de trendlijnen ten opzichte van elkaar.
