Dr. O.S. Deol is presently Associate Professor of Commerce at Shaheed Bhagat Singh (E) College, University of Delhi, Delhi. He obtained his M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, Delhi. He has more than 25 years of teaching and research experience. Specialising in international business and finance, Dr. Deol has authored books entitled, IMF Adjustment Programmes and Developing Countries, Twenty Years of WTO: 1995–2015 and Business Mathematics and Statistics. He has edited the book, Global Trade in Services: A WTO Perspective. He has published research papers on various aspects of international business and finance, including Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) Theory, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India, Portfolio Investment in India, India’s International Trade in Banking Services, WTO’s Agreement on Agriculture, South Asian Free Trade Area Agreement, Exchange Traded Financial Derivatives Market in India, Outward Foreign Direct Investment from India, and Financial Stability in Asia. He has attended and presented papers at numerous seminars/conferences at national and international levels. He is working on Research Project: “An Analysis of Strategic Uses of Foreign Exchange Derivatives in Managing Foreign Exchange Exposures by Indian Firms”, sponsored by ICSSR.
