The aim of this book is to present the theory and practice of strategic management in a concise form, with particular emphasis on effective and responsive strategy-making processes. The scope is comprehensive and research-based and yet presents the content in an accessible manner, ready to be applied in management practice. The book presents conventional and newer tools for practical strategy analysis and considers the associated strategy process expressed in an integrative strategy model, where strategic responsiveness is a necessary precursor for organizational adaptation. Dr. I. Narsis, M.Com., M.Phil., M.B.A., M.A., M.Ed., PGDCA., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor & Research Advisor, PG Research Department of Commerce in Government Arts College, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. He obtained his postgraduate degree in Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai and M.Phil in Commerce from Madurai Kamaraj University. Besides, he has a Ph.D. in Commerce. He has been teaching Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management and Research Methodology for over 26 years. Dr. Narsis has presented many papers in national level seminars and conferences and published research articles in various commerce and economics journals and magazines. He is the author of the book entitled Fundamentals of Research in Social Science and co-author of the book entitled Computer in Business.

She obtained her M.Phil and PG degree in Commerce from Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, Trichy. She has secured “Gold Medal-University Second Rank” in M.Com. She has also secured “State Level Second Rank” in her Higher Secondary education. She has been teaching various subjects like Income Tax, Computer Applications in Business, Partnership Accounts, and Strategic Management for over twelve years. She has presented many papers in international and national level seminars and conferences and published various research articles in various peer-reviewed journals.
