Polymer Chemistry is a multidisciplinary science dealing with the chemical synthesis and chemical properties of polymers. The book covers most of the basic concepts of synthesis, characteristics, and the structure of polymers. It presents the interdisciplinary scope of polymers and their peculiar traits in a simplified manner for easy comprehension by the readers. Organic as well as inorganic polymers are emerging new materials which find enormous range of applications that make the field important. The special properties of polymers provide the scientific community with important materials that could be new and evolved to improve life of entire humanity and help various types of researches. The straightforward and simplified descriptions provided in this book will cater to the needs of students studying polymers. It will prove an indispensable reading for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as professionals who want to study about this subject.

Dr. Archana Garg is presently working as a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. She did her M.Sc. from Vikram University, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, and received her Ph.D. from School of Studies, Vikram University, Ujjain under the guidance of Shree K. Srinivasulu.
