Pamela Gilbert is the Albert Brick Professor of English at the University of Florida. She has published widely in the areas of Victorian literature, cultural studies and the history of medicine. Her recent books include A Companion to Sensation Fiction (ed., Wiley, 2011).

Linda K. Hughes is Addie Levy Professor of Literature at Texas Christian University, specializing in Victorian literature and culture, with particular interests in the intersections of gender, genre, and publishing history, including the transnational circulation of texts.
