About The Author

Smith, Mary-Ellen: - Mary-Ellen Smith dedicated her career to higher education, serving as an International Student Advisor for over 30 years at the University of South Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree in Professional and Technical Writing and a master's degree in Government and International Relations, both from USF. As a published writer, she co-authored chapters in the first edition of Crisis Management by NAFSA. With a passion for art, Mary-Ellen began writing and illustrating a children's book, Doodle and the Alley-Oop Bag, inspired by her grandson. Her work reflects her love for education and creativity.
