Aina can't believe her eyes.

In the middle of the night, a strange woman sits in her grandfather's rocking chair, gently rocking back and forth, watching her. Then she stops.

"Aina, the Only. We need your help."

So begins a journey beyond the known world.

Drawn to the East, Aina and her new friend Elmi must stop a powerful ruler from abusing Ilure - a clock that controls time in both their world and ours. If it falls into the wrong hands, nothing will ever be the same again.

What begins as a quiet summer in rural Sweden turns into something far from ordinary. Danger appears where least expected, and allies emerge in unexpected forms.

Aina has always been afraid. Now she must face her greatest fears - or risk losing everything she loves.

The Compass Series - Every journey begins with a direction.
