Caroline takes down the green inkpot from the high shelf. It belongs to Mama so she's careful not to make a mess. When she pries open the lid, out pops a green inkpot fairy who demands she "make art." Using green, her favorite color, the inkpot fairy guides her to make drawings of things she never knew she was capable of in this touching and fantastical tale that speaks to the power and magic of creating art.
