When someone makes fun of our body, we feel bad. We start to think we're not good enough, that there's something wrong with being who we are. That feeling sticks with us, and it's hard to ignore.

Maybe it's because, in our daily lives, we're surrounded by images of bodies that seem to be the only "right" ones. Or because feeling like there's something wrong with our body makes us believe that no one will love us--and that's really scary. This book is an invitation to change the way we look at ourselves. We can learn to do it with kindness. And looking at ourselves with kindness is a superpower.

Lucía Serrano nació en Madrid en 1983. Desde que era muy pequeña contaba a todo el mundo que cuando fuera mayor trabajaría contando cuentos. Cuando cumplió 10 años decidió que nadie, bajo ningún concepto, le robaría la imaginación. Y se prometió a sí misma defenderla a toda costa. Cuando acabó el instituto estudió Bellas Artes, donde disfrutó muchísimo. Más tarde tomó un tren hacia Barcelona porque le dijeron que allí se hacen muchos libros. Se enamoró del lugar y se ha quedado, dibujando, inventando cuentos, aprendiendo y disfrutando.
