Enzo Minarelli-Andrea Samaritani Fono-Foto-Grafie 1982-2014.L'esperienza verbo-visiva denominata Fono-Foto-Grafie prende piede nei primi anni Ottanta, quando incontro e conosco Andrea Samaritani il quale a quel tempo muoveva i primi passi come fotografo. L'occasione fu casuale, entrambi eravamo insegnanti di sostegno per portatori di handicap (si veda Multimedia tra handicap e fantasia, Rocca 45, Assisi, 1985) per chi voglia approfondire quel tipo di esperienza che cementò la nostra amicizia ancor prima che il sodalizio artistico. Lui mi diede alcune sue foto in bianco nero che riteneva scarti, "non venute bene" per usare una sua frase perentoria. In risposta gli dissi "ci penso io a ridarle energia!". L'operazione visiva allora da me intrapresa si propone di far risuonare la staticità dell'immagine stampata attraverso il rigo del pentagramma il quale a sua volta funge da traino per ulteriori interventi sia linguistici che iconici. Di questa prima esperienza resta solo una breve ma valida documentazione nel catalogo La mirada transgresora, Bienales Internacionales 1985-2009, edito dal Museo Universitario del Chopo a Città del Messico, nel 2017 e nel mio Nembrot libro&oggetto 1983-2008, 100x70. Fono-Foto-Grafia Z (1982) è stata scelta come manifesto on line della mostra Belle Parole a cura di Valerio Dehò, Palazzo Corbelli, Fano, 2014.La seconda fase s'avvia oltre trent'anni dopo, sul finire della prima decade del nuovo secolo. Questa volta Andrea mi dà carta bianca. Mi invita a più riprese nel suo studio-archivio e mi permette di scegliere le foto che voglio. Con molta calma e cura seleziono dal suo amplissimo campionario un numero imprecisato di foto scattate proprio nel lasso di tempo di un trentennio. Una volta fatta la cernita, passa molto tempo, le foto sono rimaste sul pavimento del mio studio-attico per lunghi e parecchi mesi, me le guardavo e riguardavo, senza trovare il giusto bilanciamento tra quanto fissato da Andrea e la mia presenza nel suo contesto creativo. Poi, sotto la sua spinta, un amicale incitamento a procedere, a vincere la mia giustificata ritrosia, spesso mi chiedeva impaziente se avevo iniziato il lavoro, ho trovato un modulo operativo capace di allargare il potenziale della foto. Al di là della sonorità visuale già enunciata, ho seguito il fotogramma sviluppando sotto forme diverse quanto già era evidente al fine di realizzare come lui stesso ha saggiamente scritto "un'arte al quadrato". Così sono nate circa un centinaio di Fono-Foto-Grafie (108 per la precisione), suddivise in varie sezioni. Il lettore o spettatore dovrà soppesarle come un prodotto compatto, due modi differenti di fare arte ma qui affratellati dal comune obiettivo di una fusione comunicante.
